Maze Mayhem

You're a lab rat being tested for your worth. Escape and prove to the people testing you that you have the motivation! Beware your mutated predecessors, rats that came before you that have not survived the maze.

Reflection-

We made the game have a top-down perspective similar to the Berzerk game as well as giving the character the ability to shoot at enemies and hide behind walls around the map. I’d say it’s mostly a rekin maze shooter but instead of shooting robots, you’re shooting mutated lab rats. The game is  supposed to  give the overall theme of the word berserk by making you this scared rat trapped within the maze that eventually, after taking enough damage, enters a frenzy mode that’s chaotic to represent “going berserk.”   We have a lot of levels with different unique maze designs, but I will say they all have a very similar feel, and the players' experience might feel the same throughout as well as our mechanics not really changing from our tutorial level. Consequently, throughout the maze you might experience parts you might get stuck on if you don’t get enough cheese or waste it throughout your gameplay.  This game was made very smoothly with no due dates missed, we put a lot of attention and passion in it. I loved doing the art assets and animations for the piece and I am very fond of how the game turned out!
